No SOA , no collaring , national anthem in one meeting and not in the other . They raise the toast for a cause eg in today’s meeting they raised the toast for farmers to thank them enough for producing food we eat Impressive .
I had an opportunity to attend meeting of another club in Kitchener ie Rotary Club Kitchener Conestoga , the club chartered back in 1971 , having membership strength of 53 . The best part of both meetings was the observance of time . They start at 12 noon , and after fellowship over drinks they start the meeting at 12.15 over a lunch . 12.45 the speaker is called and any which way their meeting is over by 1.30 PM .
I had a chance to attend club meeting of rotary club kithener westmount (canada) and exchanged the club flag . President elect rtn mac made a presentation on his experience of RI convention at Singapore
I had an opportunity to speak about our club, where in I spoke about our signature project RDID , which was appreciated by one and all . So much so President elect announced in the meeting that he will like to explore possibility of holding such dinner in Kitchener in collaboration with Institute for Blind .
